SOLD November 2013
This is a superb example of a Northamptonshire skittles table in an excellent condition. It was made by Blacks in March, 1968.
It has a new rear net,and new carpeting at the rear, The side cushions and the front edge have been re-leathered, and the whole table has been re-varnished. It comes with pins and skittles in excess of one set. The playing surface is original lino.
There are 22 boxwood skittles, and 6 cheeses. Of this total 15 pins are of excellent (match play) quality, 2 have chips out of the wood, and the remaining 5 have worn surface varnish, but are still perfectly useable. The 2 chipped ones can be played with the damage placed at the rear. 3 of the cheeses are excellent (match play) quality, 2 have surface varnish wear, and 1 has a small knot on a flat side, but again all are perfectly useable.
The table must be collected from Northampton area. Alternatively, Masters Traditional Games can help to faclitate the deal by arranging to collect and deliver at additional cost.
Table has minimal number of imperfections and the lower 3 pictures show these. There is a small area of wear at the extreme rear edge of the playing surface, and there is a slight circular impression in the centre (see attachments.) These issues don't affect play.
