The manufacturer is unknown but the history can be seen all over
the now beautifully restored exterior. It was probably made in the
1880s or 1890s.
This Victorian folding Bagatelle table has been reconditioned by
an expert antique restorer. The craftsman in question has decades
of experience and has put a lot of time into repairing and making
good this table because it was in quite a state when we obtained
it. Primary work effected is as follows:
- Loose woodwork has been repaired
- All woodwork has been stripped and then polished to give a beautiful
new finish
- New rubber cushions installed
- Semi-circularwooden strip under cush at the end replaced
- Re-covered with new high quality woollen baize
- The underneath has also been re-covered with the same baize.
- Lock repaired and made to work with the key that is still retained
- The 9 cups (which are still original and intact) have been reseated
in order to be playable
- Retaining end-piece restored, polished and made to fit (seals
end and stop contents escaping)
Additionally, Masters Traditional Games have supplied two modern
Peradon quality two-piece cues, a set of modern balls and a full
rules sheet so that play can commence immediately.
SOLD: Nov 2007
The only slight niggle is that slight pressure needs to be applied
on one side when opening, otherwise it is stiff.
The table can be collected from St. Albans or Brentwood and we
would recommend viewing before buying. Due to its size and unique
nature, we do not wish to send the board by courier but we may be
able to make other delivery arrangements.

or ring Masters Traditional Games.
