This Bar Billiards table was reconditioned in Britain by a specialist cue sports firm in 1995. The manufacturer is uncertain but it looks like a Sams Brothers table and was probably made in the 1930s. The table is very robust, made from solid wood but is an elegant piece of furniture. The table should hold or increase its value over time and can serve to greatly enhance the look of a room.
The Bar Billiards table is generally in excellent condition but the timberwork has sustained a few cosmetic scratches over time, naturally. Some would argue this only adds to its character. The baize cloth is in fine condition as is the front playing surface and the table comes complete with balls, a scoreboard, mushroom skittles, shillings to start the game, three and a half cues. The clock mechanism is in full working order and the internal bar comes down to finish the game after the set period of time.
There is an accompanying letter from the English firm that last refurbished the table for provenance.
