Bat and Trap Balls

No-one makes balls specifically for Bat and Trap and so Bat and Trappers have used various types of ball over the years including balls borrowed from other sports and pet shop dog-balls!

Many Bat and Trap leagues use Lacrosse balls and Masters Traditional Games recommends Lacrosse balls as the best type for Bat and Trap. These balls, (shown in the picture to the left), are designed for outdoor sport, and do not have a significant lip at the join. They are made of hard rubber with a nice texture.

Jaques Bat and Trap balls are only suitable for their home version of the game.
