Horse Shoes
This product consists of 2 metal stakes, 4 colourfully painted metal horse-shoes, rules and a canvas carry bag. It is good fun but the quoits are too heavy for smaller children to play with. Bag measures 450 x 180 x 30mm. Each horse-shoe 140mm (5 1/2 inches) across, 0.6Kg. Children should be kept under supervision while playing because the horse-shoes could cause injury if they strike a person or animal. Please note that, while these horseshoes are large and heavy by most people's standards they may not be big enough for people who have played the game competitively in the USA. Serious horse-shoers - please note the dimensions before ordering...

Horseshoe PitchingSome theories have it that Quoits developed from Horseshoe pitching as a formalised version of the sport. Horseshoe pitching is still played today, notably in certain regions of the USA. You can find out more about Quoits and Horseshoe pitching from the Online Guide to Traditional Games.
