- Genuine Ashanti stools imported from Ghana
- The stand is carved in an Ashanti Gye Nyame symbol
- Makes a great talking point for any room while also being practical
- Hand-made by a traditional Ghanaian craftsman
To accompany our large Oware tables, but also an amazing ornament in their own right, we are delighted to make available these African stools carved in the Ashanti style.
Our Ashanti stools are hand-made in Ghana from core hardwood of the Mahogany family. They are robust and elegant seats with a stand that has been carved into a traditional African emblem. The Gye Nyame symbol represents the omnipotence and immortality of God for the Ashanti tribe. A simple pattern that varies according to the whim of the craftsman is etched into parts of the exterior.
An Oware table or an Ashanti stools can easily be the talking point of a games room or an entrance hall being both practical and unusually aesthetic.
Contains small parts. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
Note: Products on this page are genuinely hand-made by a craftsman in a third-world country. Minor cosmetic imperfections are the norm - items are often not symetrical, cases sometimes don't fold perfectly, hinges are poor quality etc. If you seek pristine, manufactured items, then this item is not for you. But if you delight in the originality and charm of authentic ethnic craft, you should not be disappointed.
