Jaques Happy Families & Snap

A traditional version of these ever-popular card games from Jaques, in a lovely mahogany card box.

Jaques, the oldest games manufacturer in the world, were the first people to produce both Happy Families and Snap back in the second half of the 19th century. The originals were black and white cards featuring grotesque caricatures that were highly entertaining - accounting for their immediate success. Since that time Jaques and others have produced many of versions of both Snap and Happy Families so that both games have become an indelible part of our culture.

Happily, the current generation of the Jaques family have decided reproduce versions of some of their early games including these examples of original Happy Families and Snap.
