The White Tower Chess set is named after the oldest building within the grounds of the Tower of London, the most visited historic site in Britain famous for housing the Crown Jewels, Ravens and the Yeoman Warders (otherwise known as Beefeaters). The White Tower was originally built as a royal palace and fortress, but also served as a prison, a royal chapel, a record office and a large storehouse for arms, armour and gunpowder.
Featuring highly detailed authentic characters of 1066, the White Tower chess set makes an exceptional quality heirloom or gift.
The regular Chess set is made from ground stone resin and comes in contrasting brown and ivory shades so that opposing pieces are easily distinguished. In the decorated version of the Chess set the clothing, weaponry and accessories have all been painstakingly hand-painted.
