The Waterloo Chess set represents the combatants at the famous battle of Waterloo in 1815. The French army led by Napoleon Bonaparte contests the battlefield with the Duke of Wellington's English forces. All the pieces in this magnificent set are hand made from old English soldier metal castings, hand finished by artisans who are renowned for attention to detail.
The regular Chess set is made from ground stone resin and comes in contrasting brown and ivory shades so that opposing pieces are easily distinguished. In the decorated version of the Chess set the clothing, weaponry and accessories have all been painstakingly hand-painted.
