Travel Go Sets

 

It is quite easy to obtain cheap miniature or travel versions of Go. But nicer quality travel Go sets are harder to find.

 

The set available here features magnetised stones of about 17mm which are stored in separate circular, plastic containers. The folding magnetic board is stored with the the stones in purpose-designed sturdy green canvas bag with black canvas handles and a double-zip fastener.

The stones and board are plastic but this is forgiveable in a travel game - the whole set is well-made, portable and is truly practical weighing only 1.7Kg.

The closed bag measures 39.5 x 28 x 6cms. Dimensions of unfolded board are 36.5 x 35cm. Stones are about 17mm diameter held in containers 15cm diameter, 3cm high.
