Awele

Masters Traditional Games has gone to extreme lengths to obtain genuine Awele boards from West Africa. It is easy to buy Chinese-manufactured boards but why do that when you can have the real thing?

If Africa were a nation, then Mancala would be the National Game of Africa. There are hundreds of versions of Mancala played throughout Asia and Africa and Awele is a popular version of the game. Originating in West Africa and also played to a high level in the Caribbean, it is now a familar sight across Europe and America. Often played at competition level but simple to learn and great for children, enhancing both maths and strategy skills, from 5 years upwards.
